Study design: Retrospective descriptive analysis with 34 patients to summarize the clinical characteristics and treatment experience of patients with thallium poisoning who experienced a delayed hospital admission.

Results: After admission, all patients received treatment with Prussian Blue. Patients with high thallium blood concentration received additionally blood purification treatments. After treatment, the blood and urine thallium concentrations of all patients decreased significantly, and symptoms were improved.

Conclusions: A delay in hospital admission for patients with thallium poisoning is associated with a greater risk of central nervous system damage. Prussian Blue treatment and its combination with blood purification treatments is able to improve patients’ conditions.
